Xylocaine 10% Special Adhesive

Xylocaine 10% Special Adhesive contains lidocaine (lignocaine) base as the active ingredient. Formulated to adhere to moist oral mucous and provide topical anesthesia. Lidocaine is the new medicine ingredient name for lignocaine and is mostly used in this product information.

Xylocaine Special Adhesive is used to prevent pain during scaling or injection and when fitting dentures. It's  also used to relieve pain during the removal of baby teeth. It works by making nerves unable to pass messages to the brain.

Xylocaine Special Adhesive belongs to a group of medicines called local anaesthetics.

The onset of action of Xylocaine 10% Special Adhesive occurs within 3 - 5 minutes on mucous membrane and the effect lasts for approximately 15 - 20 minutes. It is ineffective when applied to intact skin.
